This might be a little stale, but you know what they say, better late than never. A HUGE thanks to the great Greg Andrews for coming through and taking photos for the night. Another big thanks to everyone who participated and who was involved. A lot of people have been asking about the future of this race and what’s going to happen to it next year. Things are still being discussed and as of right now your guess is as good as mine. Till then, all I can say is thank you.
Being one of the most influential writers of the 20th century, he had such a left field approach to story telling that most of my youth was spent re-reading broken spine books by the Hoosier and quoting them as if I wrote them myself. They were like crack! And they still are! First thing I did when I got my kindle was spend over $150 on Vonnegut…for anyone who knows how much a book is on Kindle, you should know that’s just stupid. It’s like spending $20 at Taco Bell…you’re gonna be able to eat tacos for days!!!
For anyone who has never picked up a book by Vonnegut, I strongly encourage you to do so. And if you have a Kindle, they’re running a special for his birthday. All his publications are $1.99 each (just my luck). I leave you with one of my favorite quotes of all times.
The master of ceremonies asked people to say what they thought the function of the novel might be in the modern society, and one critic said, “To provide touches of color in rooms with all-white walls.” Another one said, “To describe blow-jobs artistically.” Another one said, “To teach wives of junior executives what to buy next and how to act in a French restaurant.”
- Kurt Vonnegut, Jr
This past weekend was Monster Mash 6 here in the circle city and I think it would be safe to say that we had more fun than a tornado in a trailer park. Before I list scores I want to give thanks…First and foremost, THANK YOU Chris Kellar for putting in the time and helping make this whole thing happen. I don’t think either of us as well as Bryan Wyatt would have ever predicted this race to become this successful 6 years ago. Janey, thank you for dealing with my shit for the last two weeks! DOVE!!! Matt Gorman, you know what’s up – thanks for putting on the pre cat and making life awesome!!! GONG!!! To all the checkpoint workers, you guys were absolutely phenomenal…you guys are the reason why this race is so fun (and fucked up). I applaud you and THANK YOU!!! To the sponsors, I can’t thank you enough!!! You really push the envelope with prizes year after year after year. White Rabbit, thank you so much for letting us use your facility and rage! I hope there wasn’t too much shit to clean up afterwards. Action and Lemi Vice, no surprise – crushed it! Thank you guys! And last but not least, to all the racers, you guys are the best!!! To the ones who traveled in for this (it’s greatly appreciated!), you have no idea how much that means to me. Thank you. To the Indy kids, this is definitely a great scene and I can’t wait to see how this city progresses in the next few years. You guys are amazing! THANK YOU!!!

If you don’t see your name on this list, it’s because you didn’t turn in your manifests or didn’t write your name on them. If you want to dispute a score or want your manifests back, hit me up at email@example.com
If you’re living in Indy and forgot to get a shirt, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org - I’ll roll through and drop it off for you for $15. A couple of people talked to me about saving a shirt for them, I have most of your names written down, but to be on the safe side email me so I can make sure I didn’t forget about you. If you’re interested in buying a t-shirt and you’re living outside of Indy click here. We are running low so try to contact me as fast as you can…worst case scenario, we can do a preorder for another batch.
Thank you all again for such a great weekend…till next time, enjoy the ride!!!
It might be a little late notice…but if you’re free tonight, stop by the Tin Roof to see the premiere of Cornfed 4 after the weekly alleycat. If you haven’t seen one, look em up. There’s never a dull moment and Scott is just getting better and better with each edition! I’m looking forward to seeing what he has in store this time around.
I believe the race will start at 9pm with Cornfed 4 viewing shortly after the race. See you tonight!!!
I’m proud to announce we finally are giving away a track frame as one or our Grand Prizes this year! I can’t be more proud of how this race has evolved. I don’t think any of us would have imagined how far this event would have gone if you asked us 6 years ago. No matter if this is your first time riding a bike in 15 years or if you’ve been racing for 15 years, this race is for anyone!!! I strongly encourage you to come out and participate in something really great…this is going to be an amazing night and I can’t wait for you all to experience it!!!
Also, if you can hit up the Facebook page and let us know if you’re coming or not…as well as tell all your friends, it would definitely help!!!
